More About Throwing
Player starts out throwing right-handed, back-hand. Change to left-handed, back-hand by pressing the H-key. Note: for a right-handed player, this lets you throw a side-arm, or side-flick shot. Keys 1 thru 9 change the angle of the disc at release. This is useful for curving around obstacles and mandatories. Another reason to throw a hyzer or anhyzer is that it eliminates one side of the course. Nearly every professional ball golfer plays a draw or fade consistently. This could be one reason why many of the top professional disc golfers throw over-stable discs. It assures that a poorly-thrown shot will at least curve one direction only, and end up on the same side of the fairway every time. Another reason to change the angle of release is to attain maximum distance. Try throwing an under-stable disc with a hyzer release. This type of throw should glide farther than throwing with a flat release.

Windows Vista

The Disc Flight Simulator is being developed based upon the OpenGL graphics standards and API. Microsoft Windows supports OpenGL directly through version Vista, but the latest complete OpenGL drivers are not always included in the Vista installation procedure. Each video manufacturer will provide updated OpenGL drivers for their hardware, when requested. The recommended graphics hardware for this game is Nvidia and ATI.

If you're experiencing any visual problems with this game on Vista, try updating your video drivers by downloading and installing them from your graphics hardware manufacturer's website.

SOUND INSTALLER
OpenAL Sound

NOTE: Sound should work with no further installation.
If you don't hear sounds, try the following installation of OpenAL.

     a. Find the installer here: OpenAL
     b. Look near the bottom of the page for a link named "oalinst.exe", and click it.

This will install OpenAL. The OpenAL install is very light and will not change the configuration of your computer at all. Only two DLL driver files are placed in your Windows folder, and that's it.
